I have had over 11 years of management experience, and I am so grateful to combine my experience and skills as a manager with my love for animals. Amber - Care Specialist

"Hi! My name is Amber. I am originally from North Carolina but have recently relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, and I absolutely love it! In December 2021, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in zoology from NC State University, and I have been gaining all types of experience working with animals for several years now. Not only do I have experience working with wildlife and exotic animals, but I also have experience working with domesticated species like dogs and cats! I have been extremely passionate and dedicated to animal care ever since I got my first dog as a little girl, so I assure you that you and your beloved pets will get the best possible care. I am so excited to meet you and your sweet fur babies!"

Allison - Care Specialist

"Hi there! My name is Allison, and I'm thrilled to be a part of the Prefurred Pets team! I'm a rising senior at Vanderbilt University and I've loved getting to explore the city!  I grew up in Bethesda, Maryland, where I discovered my love for animals, especially dogs and horses. I started riding and caring for horses when I was 5 years old. Over 15 years of working with horses, I've learned the importance of responsibility and force-free training, which definitely applies to dogs! I finally convinced my parents to get a puppy when I was 14. Walking my dog, Kirby, allowed me to meet other pups and their owners in the neighborhood, which led to my first walking and pet-sitting opportunities. I enjoyed it so much that I started working as a professional dog walker in Maryland. My favorite part of the job is helping shy and anxious dogs come out of their shells and enjoy the outdoors. As a lifelong hiker, I love taking dogs on outdoor adventures whenever I can! I'm really looking forward to meeting the dogs of Nashville and bringing more puppy love into their lives."

"Hi! My name is Kate Ham. I am a rare Nashville native, born and raised. I spent my undergrad years studying art history at Pepperdine University in Southern California. After university I worked in the nonprofit sector and restaurant industry in Washington, DC and New York City. During my time in New York I became a sommelier. I absolutely love wine. When I'm not working, I love to read, hike, and bake lots of goodies. My husband and I also love to travel and explore the world's greatest restaurants. I've been a dog walker throughout my adult life. I love dogs and can't wait to meet yours!"

Annie - Care Specialist

"Hello! I'm Annie and I am originally from Sacramento, California. I have lived in the Midwest/south for the past 8 years and moved to Nashville in January of 2022. I have been a lover of animals for my entire life and worked in animal welfare from high school through college. I graduated in 2019 with a degree in Equestrian Science and went on to manage a horse farm in Kentucky after that. Working on that farm and others gave me professional experience with all kinds of animals including dogs, cats, chickens and many large animals. I now work from home and get to enjoy working with pets right here in Nashville. When I'm not working you can find me hiking, exploring East Nashville, and spending as much time as possible with my cat Mars."

Caroline - Care Specialist

“Hi y’all!! My name is Caroline. I am from Nashville, TN and am currently a rising senior at Belmont University. I began working with animals when I was in middle school and started out sitting for neighbors and family friends. I’ve continued to do this for 10+ years and absolutely love getting to take care of people's pets. My passion for animals increased when I volunteered at an animal shelter here in Nashville. I had experience working with reactive dogs, and learned about being patient with any hurdle that may have come my way. Getting to work with the animals truly taught me so much about myself and benefited me in more ways than I can count. I absolutely love animals and I can’t wait to take care of yours!!”
