Kat - Management
"Hi! I'm Kathryn, but you can call me Kat. I am originally from Boston but have lived on the west coast most of my adult life so far. I am an avid traveler, traveling to 11 countries over the past two years. I have had over 11 years of management experience, and I am so grateful to combine my experience and skills as a manager with my love for animals. I have always been a big animal lover having grown up around cats and dogs, experience taking care of horses, and always being the friend to dog or cat sit. Now, I am so excited to help Prefurred Pets Nashville to continue to thrive as the best pet service company in Nashville!"

Laura K. - Care Specialist
"Hi! My name is Laura and I was born and raised in Nashville. I have traveled around the world, but never have left this place I call home. I have a bachelor's degree in K-8 education from Tennessee Tech University and used to be a kindergarten teacher. I'm a mom to the seven most amazing humans on the planet and the four best/most fun/naughtiest dogs. I work really well in the chaos. I have always adored dogs. Some of my earliest memories are of me creating dog scrapbooks from my Dog Fancy magazine subscription surrounded by my stuffed dog collection and walls littered with dog posters on my 101 Dalmatians comforter bed set. It was a slight obsession. In my free time I love to read, create art, handletter & journal, make all the coffee drinks & cocktails, bake sweet treats and love on all my people and pups. I promise to take the best care of your sweet fur baby and love on them to pieces."
Sam - Care Specialist
"Hello! My name is Sam. I moved to Nashville in 2021 having lived in New Orleans since 2012 when I moved there for college. I grew up in a small cow town in Northern Massachusetts.
I have years of experience working with animals. Growing up, I had three German Shepherds, two Labrador Retrievers, a Bernese Mountain dog and around 15 cats over my entire childhood. I started volunteering at my local humane society during the summers of high school and during college. In addition, I have years of experience house sitting animals, all with various needs. I truly believe that pets are a huge part of the family and should always be treated as such."

Julia - Care Specialist
"Hello! I'm Julia, a Swede living in Nashville, TN. I moved across the pond at the beginning of 2020 and just started my fourth year in this awesome southern state. I used to consider myself a crazy cat lady - up until I started fostering dogs for MACC. I adopted my dog Darcy in 2022 and after I met my current husband (who also is a dog trainer), my family grew considerably. Today we have one Pittie and two Belgian Malinois. I have been working with dogs professionally since early 2023, and I take pride in caring for other people's pets just like I do with my own fur babies!"

Keara - Care Specialist
""Hi, my name is Keara! I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I moved to Nashville 5 years ago to chase my dream of working in music. I’ve been working in music in some capacity for the last 8 years. My most recent adventure in music was acting as the Production Coordinator at a music venue in Germantown for the last 3.5 years. Music has been such a wild ride and I’ve loved every moment but the best adventure so far has been becoming a mama to my very furry child, Bear. Bear is a 2 year old lab mix and he is the sweetest, silliest boy. I have always had a deep love for dogs and have been a caretaker for all sorts of animals on and off while working in music. In my free time I love doing yoga, taking Bear for long walks, reading, and painting. I can’t wait to meet your sweet fur babies and take the best care of them."
Laura J. - Care Specialist
"Hi, my name is Laura! I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and moved to Nashville in 2022 with my husband and our two adopted pups, Jasper and Raylee. I grew up in a family that had several pets at any given time, and began pet sitting for neighbors and friends in early adolescence. I've always considered it a privilege to get to know, care for, and attune to animals and their needs. I recognize how important it is to ensure your beloved pets are in the hands of somebody who prioritizes their safety, comfort, and well-being above all else. My hope is to provide a nourishing experience to every furry friend I encounter!
Outside of my role as a pet care specialist, I work as a clinical therapist. I also enjoy playing with our dogs, trying new coffee shops, curating playlists and dancing. I can't wait to work with your beloved pets!"

Madison - Care Specialist
"Hi there! I'm Madison, and my lifelong passion for animals runs deep! Growing up in New Jersey, my mom's work as a director for various animal shelters meant our home was always filled with furry friends, both our own and fosters needing a temporary home, though a few became foster failures!
After graduating last May with a Music Business degree from Belmont University, Nashville has officially become my home. I'm now looking forward to continuing my passion for pet care here in Music City.
Being far from my own beloved animals, I cherish the opportunity to treat every pet I sit for as if they were my own. I've always had a natural ability for understanding animal behavior and prioritizing their safety in any situation. I'm thrilled to join the Prefurred Pets family and offer my experienced and enthusiastic care, providing you with trustworthy and reliable pet-sitting while you're away."
Tyler - Care Specialist
"Howdy! I'm Tyler! I've been loving pets for 28 years, and professionally working with them for 7 years now. I'm new to Nashville and excited to meet all these new pets! Newsflash: I already think they're great!
Cats and dogs have been a constant source of love and entertainment in my life ever since my heart first beat - through the highs and lows, thick and thin, busy and boring days. They have provided me with support, passion, and purpose and it's my life goal to give back to them - a goal I know I can never fully achieve. I am extremely passionate about pets and treat them as I would any person in my inner circle.
Thank you for granting me the honor of caring for your family member. I can't wait!"
